Late Gothic three-aisled cathedral
A Gothic cathedral dating from the late 13th to the 15th century, featuring the Zápoľský Chapel (1493 – 1499). It houses the oldest Romanesque sculpture in Slovakia – the White Lion, the oldest dated wall painting in the Spiš region (1317), and five preserved Gothic winged altarpieces.
A place of rest, meditation, and prayer
A park dating from 1741, founded by the Provost of Spiš, František Barkóci. The Clock Tower serves as the entrance gate. It features a Neoclassical pavilion with colourful frescoes and historic fortification walls. It was revitalised between 2019 and 2020.
The oldest Calvary in Slovakia
A unique complex of minor sacred architecture dating from 1666–1675, designed to resemble the Old City of Jerusalem. Revitalised thanks to the INTERREG V-A Poland-Slovakia Programme.
Multi-purpose cultural venue
A new public space for cultural and arts events, community gatherings, educational activities, workshops, and lectures. The venue is available free of charge for non-commercial cultural and socially beneficial activities.
The History of Education in the Spiš Region
An exhibition dedicated to the history of education and the Teachers' Institute in Spišská Kapitula, which played a pivotal role in training teachers for the entire region.
